1970's French Italian Black Executive Desk in the Style of Guy Lefèvre

This magnificent desk has to be one of the most impressive and stylish pieces we have ever bought.  The scale is extraordinary.  The lacquered top and pedestals have an unusual crackle effect on them, these are decorated with aged brass plate.  The desk is asymmetric with the pedestals sitting closer to the front of the top than the back.  We believe this desk was designed by a top end French designer as a one-off commission in the 1970's and there are definite hints of the designer Guy Lefèvre or Jean Claude Mayer

All in all superb piece of contemporary design.
