Antique Hand Embroidered Japanese Peacocks in Original Black Frame

This exquisitely executed piece of Japanese embroidery is stitched in fine silk.  The subject is two peacocks in a traditional setting with other birds flying around in the distance.  Apart from the extremely high quality embroidery, what really sets this piece apart is the colour pallet of soft greys and browns on a light ivory background.  We have kept the original black frame.
