This sleek wardrobe was made by British company Huntington Aviation just after World War II from high grade aircraft aluminium surplus used for WWII planes. We believe this piece, based on the airstream mobile home design to be by Ernest Race.  This piece sold in 1946 for 74 pounds, 7 shillings and 10 pence - an enormous amount of money in those days.
We love the patina of the aged aluminium. This cupboard has a bakelite handle, brass deco decoration on the front, rounded edges and a shelf and rail inside.
