A Colossal, Very Rare 19th Century Japanese Mizugame Storage Pot
An extremely large example of a ceramic Japanese drinking water storage jar with wonderfully varied yellow glaze. This piece was constructed used the coil method and must have taken a Herculean effort to produce and fire. We have been unable to find such a large example elsewhere.
