A Pair of Early Maison Jansen Neoclassical Armchairs in the Louis XV Style

A pair of early Maison Jansen serpentine fronted armchairs in the style of Louis XV, dry scraped to show the high quality carved beech wood frames.  The sloped back is typical of Jansen chair designs.  These large chairs are immensely comfortable and have been reupholstered with antique French linen and studded.  The original lining has been reattached to the base of one chair showing the date of upholstery as 1912 and the name of the upholsterer.

Condition: Excellent antique condition in keeping with age.
