A 19th Century Carved Wood Gilt Pelmet Wall Decoration with Shell

This ornamental carving has it's original pale green paint and faded gilding.  It is decorated with a large central shell and scrolls along the length.  This would originally have hung about a large door but we like it as a piece of wall decoration.  

Dimensions: 183cm w x 50cm h x 13cm d

Condition: Very good antique condition.  Some tips on the shell are missing but this is barely noticeable.

Circa: 1840
