A Burmese Embroidered Kalaga Wall Panel
A Kalaga, literally translated as Foreign Curtain, completely covered with sequinned scales, glittering jewels using three dimensional stump work. This would have been commissioned by wealthy Burmese for festive occasions. This particular piece depicts dragons and Deities.
