A Pair of Large 1930's Italian Polychrome Tole Lemon Trees

A rare pair of 5' tall polychrome metal lemon trees in painted wooden planters.  Beautifully shaped on long stems and profusely covered with green metal leaves and vibrant yellow lemons. The metal work has nice patina with some leaves showing the aged metal beneath to great effect. It is unusual to find examples of these trees on this scale and with such nice original wooden planters with remnants of original paint.

Condition: Very good antique condition in keeping with age.  Gently conserved, we have stabilised the paintwork and gently waxed the metal where there is paint loss.
