A Very Large Early 20th C Floral & Leaf Aubergine Beaded Wreath (D)

This is one of a group of seven superb beaded wreaths in our collection.  They come from a shop in Northern France where they were used as samples to show clients different designs.  As such they are in wonderful condition having never been used.  Some are exceptionally ornate, probably to show what they could do.

Each one is unique whilst using similar colours and styles.  Five of the seven are especially large.  We think they look fantastic singly over a bed, fireplace or sofa or as a set piece in groups of 2 to 7.

This is the largest and most ornate beaded couronne we have seen.  Decorated with hydrangeas, leaves and other flowers in purple, pink and green, it is an exceptional example.
