A fascinating and rare Chinese terracotta wine vessel, unearthed many years ago.  The surface is painted with a pattern of swirling celestial cloud motifs in vibrant red, white and sienna brown colours.  Interestingly, despite its extreme age it could be a contemporary piece of pottery such is it's quality of design.

A similar example of these cocoon vessels can be found in the Met, New York.

Proof of age and authenticity available.
